Full-time Position – Mechanical / Systems Engineer (Tysons, VA next to Metro – Silver Line)
Abbott On Call is looking for intelligent, driven, energetic Engineers (Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or Systems) for positions that need to be filled immediately. Our Systems Engineering firm is a leader in modular ship design, development, test and validation, and interface verification and validation.
Applicants must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or higher.
- Experience interpreting drawings, technical specifications, and developing test procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface and work cooperatively with project teams and clients.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) and other similar engineering software applications.
- U.S. CITIZENSHIP with the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance. Some travel may be required to provide on-site engineering and waterfront support during ship availabilities.
Prior experience with Ship Change Documents (SCDs), Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Certifications, Mine Countermeasures (MCM), and other Navy Data Environment (NDE) applications is a plus.
